the department of economics at monash university invites applications for research/senior research fellow to work on an australian research council-funded project at monash university’s main campus on alternative (to gdp) national success indicators taking account of environmental and happiness studies and on improving the accuracy and comparability of happiness measures.
applicants should have a phd (or near completion) in economics or psychology, and preferably familiar with happiness surveys and statistical analysis. command of both chinese and english would be an advantage. [excellence in research ability and willingness to work in the area may offset some lack of the required experience.] appointments will be made at either level b or c appropriate to the successful applicants’ qualifications and experience. the positions will be located on the clayton campus.
